Parents Killed In I-435 Crash, Kids Survive





Police: Car With Trailer Hits Fed-Ex Truck
EDWARDSVILLE, Kan. -- A couple from Omaha, Neb., was killed in a crossover crash on Interstate 435 in Edwardsville late Tuesday night.
Police said a Honda pulling a U-Haul trailer crossed the median at Kansas Highway 32 and collided with a tandem FedEx tractor-trailer in the northbound lanes.
The driver of the Honda, Daniel Jamela, 37, was killed along with Marigold Jamela, 34. Two children, an 8-year-old and a 6-month old were taken to hospitals.
The 54-year-old driver of the tractor-trailer was not hurt.
Authorities closed down I-435 to investigate the crash and clean up the wreck.
Friends in Omaha said the Jamela family was moving to Dallas.
